Southwest Zone Hockey Association is once again pleased to offer our members professional skating instruction designed and led by Quantum Speed. This program represents the evolution of traditional power skating classes and is:
- Focused on individual skating SKILLS as opposed to hockey DRILLS
- A progressive program that focuses on one new skill per week
- Instructors dedicated to error detection, correction, and individual feedback

Please note: due to demand, there can be no exceptions to category registration requirements. Skaters will be grouped in each session according to their abilities. Instructors will teach to the highest level.
The on-ice instructor’s focus is on each individual’s technique. Players progress through the program to master the components of skating techniques necessary to develop strength and speed.
Session Length: 20 weeks for Wednesday sessions, 19 weeks for Thursday and Friday sessions.
Dates to omit: Thursday sessions will omit December 2 and Friday sessions will omit February 18. All sessions will be off for 2 weeks for the Christmas & New Year break.
SWZ Hockey Association reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes in response to demand.
REFUNDS - There will be no refunds once players are registered and paid. Refunds for skaters who, due to physical injury or illness, will not be able to participate in the program for the majority of classes, will be issued a refund on a pro-rated basis. No refunds will be issued for any missed classes and, because the program is progressive, individual classes cannot be made up.
