Southwest Zone Hockey Association

Welcome to the SWZ Resources page

Our goal is to put the key information SWZ families, coaches, managers and volunteers need for the season in one place. We're adding to it all the time. If something is missing, send us a note through the Contact page.

New this season: SWZ is on TeamLinkt. We are no longer using Teamsnap.   See the TeamLinkt page to get set up.

Key deadlines and first steps

  • Coaches: certifications done by November 15, or your team cannot play. Respect in Sport Activity Leader, or The Shift Forward once yours expires, before you step on the ice.
  • Managers: submit blackout dates before the league deadline. U15 and U18 regular season blackouts are due November 16 and November 23.
  • Every team: hold your first team meeting and collect signed Codes of Conduct.
  • Parents: every parent and guardian needs a current Respect in Sport Parent certification. When yours expires, take The Shift Forward instead.

Who to contact

Parents and players: your team manager is your contact for everything. Schedules, payments, ice time, concerns, all of it. Your manager knows who to take it to from there. Concerns wait 24 hours after a game or practice.

Coaches, managers and team volunteers: see Team Resources for league, ice and board contacts.
